If I decide to buy, what do I do?
Bracknell Forest Homes sells homes to tenants under both the Right to Buy scheme and the Right to Acquire scheme.  We understand that buying your home will be one of the biggest commitments you ever make. Before you make an application to buy we are happy to discuss your options with you and to provide one-to-one advice.  Please contact the Right to Buy Services Officer on 01344 382943.

The Preserved Right to Buy
If you were a secure tenant of Bracknell Forest Borough Council and became an assured tenant of Bracknell Forest Homes at the time of stock transfer (11 February 2008), you may be allowed to buy your home under the Preserved Right to Buy Scheme.  If you would like to discuss the Right to Buy, or would like to be sent an information pack (which includes the right to buy application form together with a copy of the Government’s booklet “Your right to buy your home”), please contact the Right to Buy Services Officer on 01344 382943. 

The Right to Buy Pack can also be obtained from Bracknell Forest Homes reception at Berkshire Court.  Alternatively you can request a Right to Buy Pack by completing the online enquiry form by clicking here Right to Buy form. The Right to Acquire
If you have become a tenant of Bracknell Forest Homes after the date of transfer (11 February 2008), you will be an assured tenant and will not qualify for the right to buy. However you may be allowed to buy your home under the Right to Acquire.  If you would like to discuss the Right to Acquire, or would like to be sent an information pack (which includes the right to acquire application form together with a copy of the Housing Corporation’s leaflet “Guide to the Right to Acquire”, please contact the Right to Buy Services Officer on 01344 382943. 

The Right to Acquire Pack, can also be obtained from Bracknell Forest Homes reception at Berkshire Court.  Alternatively, you can request a Right to Acquire Pack by completing the online enquiry form on Bracknell Forest Home’s Website.  Further information on the Right to Acquire is available from the Housing Corporation’s website.
